Toronto police discovered a party of 150 people
According to Toronto police, on Sunday night they were notified of some loud music coming from a commercial building. When officers arrived, they discovered a massive party of approximately 150 people who were spending time indoors without any masks on.
The crowd was too big for the officers who had initially arrived, so required some back-up prior to moving in. Although many people managed to leave the party, police stopped 24 people and charged them with fines for the pandemic violation. Additionally, officers seized $13,000-worth of alcohol in the building.
As Toronto’s officer of Health, Dr. Eileen de Villa commented, this type of behavior endangers not only those who participate in these violations but other citizens also. The city reminds everyone to follow the safety protocols in order to return back to normal life faster.
