Daytime Shooting At Fairview Mall’s Parking
According to Toronto police, a “very brazen daytime shooting” occurred on Monday in a parking garage at Fairview Mall, leaving one person dead and two others injured.
Officers were summoned to the mall shortly after 4 o’clock for a report of a shooting, according to Duty Insp. Michael Hayles, a spokesman for the Toronto Police Service. According to him, the site is a sizable commercial centre at 1800 Sheppard Avenue East.
Each of the three victims was shot.
Toronto paramedics were dispatched by the police, and when they arrived, they discovered two men in their 20s with gunshot wounds on the main floor of a parking garage on the plaza’s north side.
The victims were attended to by paramedics, who then transported them to a nearby hospital where they are currently receiving medical care. The injuries to one person are potentially fatal, while those to the other are not.
According to Hayles, a third victim, also a man in his 20s, was delivered by a personal vehicle to a local trauma centre. He claimed that after receiving medical attention, the individual was later declared dead.
At the mall, police are gathering video evidence and inspecting multiple automobiles. Police suspect that a certain vehicle was involved in the shooting, he said.
Authorities haven’t ruled out gang involvement in the shooting. The homicide squad of the police has taken charge of the inquiry, but according to Hayles, it is only getting started.
